A/A e SEAD: T/O without A/B (yes for CVN acts), flaps up at 230kts, passing 250 kts set 10° nose up and then 95% power. Level off at 10.000’, keep 95% power until 420kts GS, then ATC to maintain 420kts (check HSI for GS). You will reach WP1 at 20NM in 4’. For F18 CVN: if only 2 a/c in formation, consider 3’ instead of 4’.
ASuW: gear up, flaps up at 230kts, past 250kts maintain 95% power until reaching 420GS, then ATC to maintain (check on HSI). Leave WP1 descending to 200’.
ALL: from WP1 to I.P. (WP2): fly 420GS (or adjust slightly in case early/late) to reach I.P. at 12.04, then 500kts GS.
SEAD-A/A
At 20.000’ (or based on your tactics) leave I.P. (WP2) inbound TGT (WP3) accelerating to 500kts GS. You will be detected and hopefully CAP will converge on your position leaving Low Level a/c undetected.
F-14 will engage CAP maintaining a safe distance of 50NM from ships.
SEAD,when in range (either 200’ or high altitude), will launch and then turn North-West to drag enemy towars F-14.
ASuW (200’ radar altimeter)
From WP2, 500 kts G/S, in “box formation” (a/c at top of a 1NM square). Expect ship detection at about 28NM.
When at 50NM, full A/B and diverge from planned attack course by 15°, toward the outside of the formation. At 47NM, out of rehead and launch the 4 harpoon at 3” interval: ( 4 Harpoon will turn toward set heading flying at 200’ on a front line).
At 35NM turn toward TGT climbing to 500’ in order to be seen by ships before Harpoons.
Disengage (chaff and A/B) at 27NM or when under lock, turning 180° from tgt. At 32NM turn back inbound at 500’ to attract ship fire again. Disengage (chaff and A/B) at 27NM or when under lock, turning 180° from tgt and RTB.
