Their initial proposal was oriented towards sludge metal, as demonstrated by their debut album <strong><em>Death By Burning<\/em><\/strong>, published in 2014 via <strong>Svart Records<\/strong>, although it has evolved towards something darker and denser, mixing their initial proposal with raw and direct black metal as well. demonstrates their latest album to date, <strong><em>Pain Is Forever And This Is The End<\/em><\/strong> released in 2022 through <strong>Metal Blade Records<\/strong>.<br><br>His proposal has caught my attention in recent months and I have been captivated by his combination of musical elements such as those that can be found in his third album <strong><em>The Modern Art Of Setting Ablaze <\/em><\/strong>(2018) or in his EP <strong><em>The Spell<\/em><\/strong> (2017 ), although my favorite <strong>Mantar <\/strong>album remains the tremendous <strong><em>Ode To The Flame <\/em><\/strong>from 2016, released by <strong>Nuclear Blast<\/strong>. Ten great songs give life to this interesting album where there is a great variety of proposals assembled in the most personal way and that give the work as a whole a solid packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"MANTAR - Era Borealis (OFFICIAL TRACK)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/N3UVZfZ51oE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Era Borealis<\/em><\/strong> is also my favorite <strong>Mantar <\/strong>song, a perfect fusion of the most extreme sludge with some shoegaze offshoots and a rather stoner base, all seasoned with a promiscuous black metal that was already beginning to appear at that time. Era Borealis are four minutes of pure protest nihilism that reaches its peak with a very catchy chorus where you can hear the following phrase: \u00ab<em>This is era borealis, this is death \u00fcber alles<\/em>\u00ab, a true declaration of intent on the part of its two members.
