Is friday and many interesting new records are released today but I think it is appropriate to claim one of the most interesting bands that I have come across in recent times by chance. I have been following the Russians \u041f\u0443\u0442\u044c<\/a> <\/strong>for some time now since chance wanted me to listen to their debut album \u041f\u0435\u0441\u043d\u0438 \u0441\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0442\u0438 with which I fell completely in love with the first listen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This post-black band, with a great trace of old school black metal, is made up of guitarists Mark Shamchinsky<\/strong> and Dmitry Yakovlev<\/strong>, vocalist Andrey Kovalev<\/strong>, bassist Maxim Markelov<\/strong>, drummer Nikita Platonov<\/strong> and accordionist Artem Mnatsakanyan<\/strong>, although during 2013 and 2017 it was made up solely of Dmitry Yakovlev<\/strong> who was in charge of all the instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the arrival of the full lineup, the debut album \u041f\u0435\u0441\u043d\u0438 \u0441\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0442\u0438<\/em><\/strong> was released in 2018, which was distributed by the band itself and currently has several re-issues on CD released by the French black metal label Antiq Records<\/a> <\/strong>and in vinyl format by the Russian label Depths Of Void<\/a>. In 2020 they released the very interesting EP \u042e\u0434\u043e\u043b\u044c \u0441\u043a\u043e\u0440\u0431\u0438<\/em><\/strong> composed of five extensive songs with a total duration of more than thirty minutes where we find a good handful of ideas carried out masterfully and that leave us with authentic gems such as \u0421\u0435\u043c\u0438\u0433\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0438\u0435 \u0421\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0442\u0438 (Sevensong Of Death)<\/em><\/strong>, the longest song on the release that also has deep lyrics that you can read in English on metallum<\/a> itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The combination of black metal and folkloric elements leaves some interesting musical passages that range from the rawest black metal to other passages closer to post-black incorporating folkloric elements thanks to the intelligent use of the accordion by Artem Mnatsakanyan<\/strong>, with powerful guitar work by both Dmitry Yakovlev<\/strong> and Mark Shamchinsky<\/strong>. Likewise, Andrey Kovalev<\/strong>‘s voice has several registers throughout the song, perhaps reaching its peak during the narration with a clean voice in the central part of the song. A band to keep in mind for the future, with a clean and polished sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
