Rhythm Of Fear<\/a><\/strong>‘s discography is short but very interesting. The quartet from Jacksonville (Florida) has been practicing quality thrash\/crossover since its founding in 2010, but they only have two studio albums to date: Maze Of Confusion<\/em><\/strong> (2016) and Fatal Horizons<\/em><\/strong> (2022), the latter released in vinyl format limited to 1,200 units while the first was released independently and was distributed in vinyl format by the North American label Panic Records<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Maze Of Confusion<\/em><\/strong> is a somewhat simpler debut, their second full-length Fatal Horizons<\/em><\/strong> improves greatly in terms of quality and compositional level. Everything seems to be in its place and done conscientiously, nothing is left over and little is missing in an album that any lover of technical thrash would easily like. The band is made up of vocalist Jay Santiago<\/strong>, guitarist Cody James<\/strong> (Chaos Relic), drummer Logan Miano<\/strong> (Ill-Tolerance) and bassist Justin Styron<\/strong> (ex-Kids Like Us), all original members since its founding in 2010 except Styron <\/strong>who entered in 2015 as a replacement for his previous bassist Allen Sprague<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The band has released two albums to date but also has the Mass Illusion<\/em><\/strong> and Ritual Dementia<\/em><\/strong> EP’s, released in 2015 and 2019 respectively. This is a good way to enter their not very extensive discography, especially if we take Ritual Dementia<\/em><\/strong> as a reference EP where the band shows a more mature sound closer to their most recent album Fatal Horizons<\/em><\/strong> (2022). We can find very interesting songs such as Self Destructive Brain <\/em><\/strong>or Atrocities Beyond The Structures Of The Mind<\/em><\/strong> on Fatal Horizons<\/em><\/strong> (2022, MNRK Heavy), although my favorite is precisely what we have selected as the song of the day, Obsolescence<\/em><\/strong>, also responsible for welcoming the listener to the new album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
