Although more details are not yet known about the successor to their successful album <strong><em>Moment <\/em><\/strong>(2020, Century Media Records), the band has recently released their new single <strong><em>The Last Imagination<\/em><\/strong>, which you can listen to below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The Last Imagination\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xp2GjyY7Wrw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/dtofficial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dark Tranquillity<\/a><\/strong> was born in Gothenburg, V\u00e4stra G\u00f6taland in 1989 as <strong>Septic Broiler<\/strong>, although it would not be until 1991 that the band would adopt the name <strong>Dark Tranquillity<\/strong>. They debuted in 1993 with the album <strong><em>Skydancer <\/em><\/strong>which included vocalist <strong>Anders Frid\u00e9n<\/strong> (In Flames) while vocalist <strong>Mikael Stanne<\/strong> was still part of In Flames, with whom he released <strong><em>Lunar Strain<\/em><\/strong> in 1994. <strong>Stanne <\/strong>joined <strong>Dark Tranquillity<\/strong> as vocalist in 1993 having collaborated with the band as a rhythm guitarist between 1991 and 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since forming in 1991, <strong>Dark Tranquillity<\/strong> have released twelve studio albums, the most recent of which is 2020&#8217;s <strong><em>Moment <\/em><\/strong>which features guitarist <strong>Johan Reinholdz<\/strong> for the first time as a rhythm guitarist.
