Greek extreme metal titans Rotting Christ<\/strong> have recently announced the release of their new album Pro Xristoy<\/em><\/strong> –\u03a0\u03c1\u03bf \u03a7\u03c1\u03b9\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03cd<\/em><\/strong> in their native language- which will be released on May 24th<\/strong> via Season Of Mist<\/strong>. This will be Rotting Christ<\/strong>‘s fourteenth studio album since their formation in 1987 and the sixth that the band has released with Season Of Mist<\/strong> since Theogonia <\/em><\/strong>(2007). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sakis Tholis<\/strong> and his brother Themis <\/strong>started this band together back in 1987 when they changed their name from Black Church<\/strong> to Rotting Christ<\/strong>. In the three decades since, these Greek titans have left their blackened imprint all over the metal world: they’ve released 13 studio albums and played more than 13.000 concerts around the globe.\u00a0 Underneath all this hard work, Rotting Christ<\/strong> have but one vision \u2013 an urge to not only push the boundaries of extreme metal, but to keep reinventing themselves along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rotting Christ<\/strong>‘s evolution has unfolded across several distinct chapters. After starting out closer to the barely controlled chaos of grindcore, they went on to establish the iconic sound of Hellenic black metal. Their albums often embrace refined gothic soundscapes, only to plunge back into the depths of blasphemous fervour. Each chapter marked another, further exploration, and an unwavering commitment to bush boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
