{"id":27492,"date":"2023-12-28T07:59:06","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T07:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alliedforces.eu\/?p=27492"},"modified":"2024-01-26T15:50:04","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T15:50:04","slug":"dark-tranquillity-currently-confirmed-tour-dates-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alliedforces.eu\/en\/dark-tranquillity-currently-confirmed-tour-dates-in-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Dark Tranquillity: Currently confirmed tour dates in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Swedes <strong>Dark Tranquillity<\/strong>, a legendary band from Gothenburg with more than three decades behind them, continue working on their new studio material of which we still do not know many details despite the fact that its members are very active on social networks and always share all kinds of details about the recording process of what will be his thirteenth studio album to date, successor to the great <strong><em>Moment<\/em><\/strong> from 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although we still do not know when in 2024 their new album will see the light of day, <strong>Dark Tranquillity<\/strong> have already shared several of the concerts they will offer next year around the world, the dates of which have already been confirmed. We can pull off anything. We can perform anything that we write or have written. But we have a new musical perspective. Fresh ears, fresh ideas, fresh thoughts about what the songs could be<\/em>,\u201d said vocalist <strong>Mikael Stanne<\/strong> when <strong><em>Moment <\/em><\/strong>was about to be released. \u201c<em>Johan\u2019s been a fan of the band for a long time. He knows all the old songs, and he can play all the old songs. He pulls out songs that we\u2019ve written ages ago, and goes, \u2018more like this?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t even remember that song.\u2019 So, that\u2019s cool to have a musician with a fan\u2019s frame of reference. With Chris, he\u2019s very musical. He has a very cool sense of melody. The emotion he lets out while playing is awesome. To have them being a position to challenge what we used to do or have done over and over is great. They have great chemistry. The two of them, playing-wise, they\u2019re amazing. They\u2019re known shredders. But it was important to keep them on the melodic path but without the shredding thing. We\u2019ve never really been about the shred. It would be weird to start doing that now because we can. I mean, Martin was the restraint on this album. He\u2019d often say, \u2018That\u2019s too spicy. Too many notes.\u2019 I think the most important thing is, though, is for the guitarists to serve the song,<\/em>\u201d said <strong>Stanne<\/strong>. \u201c<em>That\u2019s what they did on Moment, I think. Chris\u2019s interpretation was always to serve the song instead of playing over it. He listened to what we were trying to do. He was reacting to the overall vibe. That was the perfect approach. It was fascinating to be with them while they recorded the solos in the studios. I loved working with them. They were a highlight for sure.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moment was released in November 20th, 2020 via Century Media Records.
